The Berlin Wall: A Personal Journey Through History and Freedom
Just one day after Remembrance Day, the Club invites you to a special presentation about the Berlin Wall, the Cold War, and the meaning of freedom.
Born in West Berlin in 1960, Rotarian Christian Jaehn-Kreibaum grew up in a divided Germany. He experienced the realities of the Cold War firsthand, travelling through communist East Germany to West Berlin every few years — and was there when the Berlin Wall came down in November 1989. Now in Canada for 27 years, Christian has shared his personal story more than 40 times since 2014.
Join us on November 12 for a compelling eyewitness account of history, division, reunification, and why freedom should never be taken for granted.
