Ken Wheeler and Jeanette Minaker presented the final Diners and Duffers results for the 2018 project. Just short of $11,000 profit was raised. Many Rotarians were instrumental in selling the books, but one individual, Wayne Dewe sold 120 books with help from staff at Dewe's Independent Grocers. All in all, 290 books were sold. An outstanding year and achievement as a team effort. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Belleville, Ken and Jeanette presented Wayne with a certificate of recognition and thanks to Wayne and his staff in support of the Diners and Duffers program. All funds raised go to help other in the community.
Jeanette encouraged everyone to buy a book next year. A great Father's Day gift with lots of restaurants, golf and wineries to choose from. The 2019 book will be of the same format and Jeanette acknowleged the help that Randy Coker has provided going forward to ensure all information is tracked as far as former buyers and contact information. The Committee could not have achieved this goal without everyone's help and participation.
